High Standards & Qualifications
All of our Myrtle Beach Surf Rescue lifeguards are trained according to the standards of the United States Lifesaving Association. Lifeguards receive an initial 40 hours of training and subsequently train weekly to constantly improve their skills and abilities.
Every lifeguard must be at least 17 years old and able to swim 500 meters in less than 10 minutes, have current certifications in Lifesaving, First Aid and CPR, but above all have quality character and take pride in their work.
